Due to an increase in workload, we are seeking a resource to assist in managing the current project backlog.

This role will involve supporting the team in creating comprehensive system documentation, including business requirements, testing strategies, process diagrams, and configuration details. The analyst will also be responsible for drafting User Stories, facilitating testing processes, and managing small to medium-sized projects, while providing support for routine operational issues. Initial focus areas will include Benefits and Payroll, with potential involvement in Recruiting, Talent Management, and Core HCM projects.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The selected candidate will be tasked with developing business requirements documentation for reporting and systems development initiatives, production reporting, and various system-related projects. This includes gathering business requirements from stakeholders, crafting associated documentation, managing projects, leading user acceptance testing, and providing user support and training.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engages with stakeholders and project teams on projects that affect business users and processes to identify needs and solutions, evaluate opportunities based on estimated business value, and define project scope.
  • Facilitates collaboration with both business and technical stakeholders to engineer requirements (business, functional, non-functional, and data requirements) while ensuring adherence to corporate standards. Develops flow diagrams, use cases, user stories, and other documentation to articulate business needs.
  • Addresses production support issues by conducting initial analysis, providing end-user support, documenting workarounds, and escalating to IT as necessary.
  • Assists in the creation of testing plans and strategies, coordinates testing activities, and executes test cases to support changes in business systems.
  • Contributes to the development of materials that facilitate user adoption of changes, including policies, procedures, business processes, training materials, and communications.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven knowledge of practices, principles, and common business processes in financial services.
  • Experience in managing configurable business systems, including system-based business rules and workflow logic.
  • Strong understanding of system development methodologies, particularly Agile (SAFE) and Waterfall.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Familiarity with project management processes and tools, with experience in organizing and coordinating small to medium projects.
  • Ability to set achievable goals and work independently or collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication, facilitation, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills to organize information, assess various facts, and formulate recommendations.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, adapt to changes, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to document requirements clearly and understandably for both business and technical audiences.
  • Skill in analyzing current business performance to identify opportunities for improvement using business analytics.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills utilizing analytical approaches.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in business analysis or business systems analysis, delivering changes to business systems and processes.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's Degree or 3 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to 3 years.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in business or business systems.
  • Four or more years of experience in project teams delivering changes to business systems and processes.
  • Experience in the property and casualty insurance industry as a business analyst or business systems analyst.
  • Familiarity with SaaS application development and support, particularly Oracle HCM Cloud.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment applying Lean Agile practices (e.g., Kanban, Scrum, SAFe).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
