This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of guest accommodations and ensuring that every visitor enjoys a pristine and welcoming atmosphere.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
· Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field is advantageous.
· Strong customer service abilities are essential.
· A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Responsibilities of the Guest Room Attendant:
- Thoroughly clean guest rooms, including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing bathrooms, and making beds.
- Ensure guest satisfaction with cleanliness and service quality.
- Prepare rollaway beds as required.
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities of the Houseperson:
- Maintain cleanliness in guest room corridors and storage areas.
- Restock supplies and linens from the warehouse to designated storage areas.
- Complete special projects as directed by supervisors.
- Adhere to safety and security protocols.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Dispose of waste and manage trash collection.
- Clean all common areas, including sweeping, vacuuming, and surface cleaning.
Additional Requirements:
· Must navigate casino areas, including stairs and elevated surfaces.
· Capable of lifting and carrying items weighing up to 100 pounds.
· Tolerance for environments with secondary smoke.
· Ability to work in varying temperatures, from hot to cold.
· Proficient in using cleaning equipment and tools.
· Must work effectively in crowded environments.
· Ability to read and understand chemical labels.
· Must perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and lifting.
· Proficiency in English is preferred.
· Must handle cleaning chemicals safely without adverse reactions.
Compensation:
Guest Room Attendants - Starting at $20.00 per hour.
Houseperson - Starting at $18.25 per hour.
