UNC Health is seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant I to join our team at the Medicine Progressive Care Unit. As a Nursing Assistant I, you will provide direct and indirect patient care in a hospital, clinic, or home health care setting.
Responsibilities:- Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures.
- Provide care and treatments to patients as outlined in the plan of care, including vital sign measurement, specimen collection, and wound care.
- Assist patients and their families during admission, orientation, and discharge.
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Reinforce routine teaching given to patients by the registered nurse or physician.
- Listing as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Prefer six (6) months of nursing assistant experience.
This is a 36 hours per week position, working 12 hour rotating shifts with weekend and holiday rotation. The position qualifies for an extensive benefit package, including PTO hours and a Nursing Support Incentive Program.
