Electrical Maintenance Technician Job Description

At Ash Grove Cement, a CRH company, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and installation of equipment and plant electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment and systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues using PLC hardware and software
  • Work with high and low voltage motor testing, circuit breakers testing, and circuits testing
  • Set up and troubleshoot PLC, ESP, and VFD systems
  • Calibrate and troubleshoot process gas analyzers
  • Work with piping and wiring, pneumatic controls, hydraulic controls, and air conditioner repairs
  • Perform basic CAN preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Calibrate and troubleshoot field instrumentation, including level, pressure, and temperature
  • Work with weight feeders, CEMS technicians, and drag line maintenance
  • Participate in good housekeeping practices using 5S Housekeeping program
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and practices
  • Assist with other departmental needs as required
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in electrical or electronics field or equivalent training
  • Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance electrician experience
  • Ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities and meet qualifications required for this position
  • Ability to work a rotating shift schedule, including nights and weekends
