We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Assistant to join our team at Henrico County Virginia. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals with serious mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist in carrying out programs for individuals with serious mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders in a group home setting.
  • Provide support, guidance, and skill training to residents as needed.
  • Evaluate resident needs and progress, and provide assessment and follow-up for emergency situations.
  • Transport residents to and from community activities.
  • Identify and report household needs for repair in accordance with agency policy.

**Requirements**

  • Graduation from high school and one year of human services experience, preferably in working with persons with disabilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.
  • Valid Virginia Commercial driver's license, with endorsements and without restrictions (may be required for some positions).
