We are seeking a dynamic Brand Ambassador to become a part of our team at Luxco, Inc. The Brand Ambassador is responsible for creating an enjoyable, informative, and engaging atmosphere for guests. This role involves leading educational tours and sharing insights about our heritage, production methods, and the unique qualities of our products. Additionally, the Brand Ambassador will facilitate tasting sessions for visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Visitor Interaction:
- Engage with guests in the Visitor Center, sharing knowledge about our distillery's history, the company’s background, and insights into the bourbon trail.
- Welcome guests upon their arrival.
- Support VIP and promotional events, including off-site activities as required.
Product Knowledge:
- Represent our brands with enthusiasm and expertise.
- Comprehend the fundamentals of the distillation process.
- Discuss the broader market of bourbon and other spirits effectively.
Communication Skills:
- Conduct tours and tastings for groups ranging from 2 to 20 individuals.
- Articulate the distillation process in an accessible manner for all visitors.
Retail Operations:
- Perform opening and closing tasks, including cleaning, stocking, and setup as necessary throughout the shift.
- Process customer transactions for retail purchases.
- Maintain the retail area consistently during the shift.
- Clean the tasting area before and after sessions, ensuring readiness for each tasting.
- Assist with receiving, tagging, and displaying products, as well as managing the point of sale system.
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; a college degree is preferred.
- Experience in hospitality or bourbon tourism is advantageous but not essential.
- Outgoing and engaging personality.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn about whiskey production.
- Familiarity with the spirits industry is a plus, though not mandatory.
- Must be over 21 years of age.
- Availability for weekend and holiday shifts.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, particularly on busy days.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
