Position Summary:

We are in search of a highly qualified and seasoned Senior Microsoft SharePoint Architect or Solution Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and execution of advanced SharePoint solutions tailored to address the intricate collaboration and content management requirements of our organization. As a pivotal member of our team, you will utilize your expertise in SharePoint architecture, customization, and integration to propel digital transformation and boost productivity across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architectural Design: Oversee the design and architecture of SharePoint solutions, including intranets, extranets, document management systems, and bespoke applications. Create scalable, resilient, and high-performance architectures that meet business needs and adhere to best practices.
  • Customization: Tailor and configure SharePoint sites, pages, lists, libraries, and workflows to fulfill specific business requirements. Develop custom solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), PowerShell, JavaScript, and other relevant development tools.
  • System Integration: Design and implement integrations between SharePoint and other enterprise systems, including Microsoft 365 applications (such as Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform), third-party software, and line-of-business applications, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
  • Governance and Compliance: Establish and enforce governance policies, permissions, and security settings within SharePoint environments. Implement role-based access controls (RBAC), data encryption, and compliance measures to safeguard sensitive information and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Migration Strategies: Plan and execute SharePoint migration initiatives, including upgrades to the latest versions of SharePoint Online or SharePoint Server. Develop migration strategies, evaluate legacy content, and carry out migration activities with minimal disruption to users.
  • Performance Enhancement: Identify and resolve performance issues within SharePoint environments, optimizing system performance, responsiveness, and scalability. Conduct performance testing and tuning to ensure an optimal user experience.
  • Training and Development: Provide training, guidance, and knowledge transfer to SharePoint administrators, developers, and end users. Create documentation, best practices guides, and training materials to support ongoing adoption and effective use of SharePoint solutions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, project managers, and external vendors to gather requirements, define technical solutions, and deliver SharePoint projects on schedule and within budget. Maintain effective communication with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft SharePoint solutions, with a focus on SharePoint Online, SharePoint Server, and SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
  • Extensive knowledge of SharePoint architecture, customization, and development techniques, including web parts, event receivers, workflows, and search configuration.
  • Strong proficiency in SharePoint integration capabilities, including Microsoft 365 integration, third-party integrations, and custom API development.
  • Experience with SharePoint migration tools and methodologies, such as ShareGate, Metalogix, or Microsoft's SharePoint Migration Tool.
  • Expertise in SharePoint governance, security, and compliance, with a solid understanding of data protection, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot complex technical issues in SharePoint environments.
