Job Opportunity: Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant

Interim HealthCare of New Hampshire is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Home Health PTA, you will play a vital role in providing personalized therapy to patients in their homes, helping them regain strength, manage pain, and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide home-based physical therapy to patients with mobility, strength, and functionality challenges
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, HHAs, OTs, and SLPs, to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conduct assessments, observe patient movements, and document progress to inform care plan modifications
  • Assist patients with exercises and hands-on therapy to manage pain and increase mobility
  • Educate patients and their families on therapy goals, exercises, and self-care

Requirements:

  • Active PTA license in Maine
  • Minimum 1 year of PTA experience, preferably in home healthcare
  • CPR certification
  • Up-to-date on all State of Maine required vaccinations
  • Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
  • Strong clinical judgment, interpersonal skills, dexterity, and compassion
