Physical Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Orthopaedic Associates of Muskegon. As a key member of our Rehab team, you will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and managing patients' care. Your expertise will be essential in helping patients recover from injuries and illnesses, and in maintaining their overall physical function.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform and document initial exams, including reviewing medical history and referrals from doctors or surgeons to identify problems and determine a diagnosis before intervention.
• Provide direct patient care and develop individualized treatment plans to maintain, improve, or restore physical function, alleviate pain, and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
• Maintain patient records by keeping track of goals and progress while adapting treatment plans in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Supervise Physical Therapy assistants to achieve patients' functional goals.
• Participate in team meetings and other clinical and staff meetings.
• Develop and enhance clinical expertise by maintaining awareness of current research, literature, and professional consensus regarding treatment strategies.
• Demonstrate adherence to state practice acts and codes of ethical professional conduct in all spheres of clinical practice.
• Discharge patients appropriately and follow up with patients as needed.
• Provide EMR documentation in a timely manner to support treatment and treatment goals.
Requirements
• Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program.
• Licensed Physical/Occupational Therapist in State of Michigan.
• CPR Certification preferred.
• Must maintain CEU requirements of licensure.
