About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team in Medford, Massachusetts.

This is a full-time, ongoing position that requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a range of laboratory tests and procedures, including automated and manual testing in chemistry and blood gas departments.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results, with supervisor review as necessary.
  • Document and enter test information accurately, and maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and quality control.
  • Collaborate with laboratory and hospital staff to ensure seamless communication and delivery of patient results.
  • Participate in continuing education programs and proficiency testing to stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science, or certification eligible.
  • 12 hours of documented continuing education in the previous year, according to lab-specific policy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
