Outpatient Therapist

Qualifications: A clinical Master's degree or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution, or current enrollment in a clinical Master's degree program at an accredited institution, and licensure requirements from the respective board, including Psychology, Social Work, Professional Counseling, and Marriage and Family. Additionally, a criminal record check and a drug screening test are required.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with potential for additional hours as needed.
This position reports directly to the Team Leader and/or Program Director
Summary of Job Duties: The Master Level Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinician under supervision provides clinical interventions within the scope of their practice for the consumers of Cumberland River Behavioral Health, Inc. The practitioner is a member of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for providing ongoing assessment, crisis resolution/disposition, and behavioral health services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and determine clinical interventions for assigned consumers, including children, adolescents, adults with behavioral health needs, and individuals with developmental delays.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on assessment data and a sound knowledge base of standards of professional practice and principles of their respective discipline.
- Obtain privileges for non-intrusive, individual, group, family, and marital/couple assessments and screenings/diagnostic assessments based on experience, training, or supervised clinical experience.
- Provide care based on ethical concepts, adhering to established standards of practice, and engage in activities or behaviors that characterize professionals.
- Ensure the accuracy, content, and completeness of client files.
- Provide services within the time requirements set forth in Agency policy and procedures.
- Provide services as documented in client treatment plans.
- Refrain from assuming any duty that is unrelated to and/or interferes with the responsibilities of the position.
- Respond to emergency situations in a timely fashion.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with other team members, as part of a multidisciplinary team, and independently, when necessary.
- Participate and comply with their respective board's recommendations for supervision.
- Maintain a copy of the supervision plan and supervisor's name in the Human Resource Department.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions, may be off-site from the normal office location, or placed at a Residential Program.
The noise level in the work environment is mild to moderate.
Environmental Data and Job Hazards:
- Hours of work are structured 7.5 or 8.0 hour blocks of time but may be subject to irregular and/or flexible hours based on needs or demands.
- Position may require duties to include routine or reasonable anticipated tasks or procedures where there is a degree of actual or potential exposure to blood or other infectious materials.
- All staff is required to participate in yearly trainings regarding infection control and safety in the environment, including hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens.
- All new staff must attend training regarding handling physical, verbal threats, acts of violence, or other escalating and potential dangerous situations, including when police need to be summoned.
- All staff must be certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation within one month of employment and maintain the certification. First Aid Training may be required.
