Cardiothoracic Surgeon

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our team at the Department of Veteran Affairs. As a Cardiothoracic Surgeon, you will be responsible for performing complex surgeries and providing medical care to patients with heart and lung conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Design and conduct comprehensive examinations, diagnosis, and implementation of treatment plans
- Provide medical education and counseling to patients and their families
- Verify and ensure that identified pre-operative surgical requirements are met
- Perform bedside procedures, including placement of arterial lines, swan-ganz catheters, and central lines
- Diagnose and treat CT surgery patients seen in consultation with other healthcare providers
- Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Current licensure to practice medicine in any US state or territory
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions quickly
