Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will have expertise in delivering child- and teen-focused therapeutic services, particularly for anxiety, depression, trauma, and disruptive behaviors. As a Licensed Therapist, you will be responsible for providing individual, group, and family therapy to facilitate insight and create an environment conducive to change that is supportive of the youth's progress toward their treatment-related goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver therapeutic services to the agency's facility-based youth and their families in a variety of environments.
  • Provide a thorough assessment to fully determine the strengths and the needs of the adolescent and their family.
  • Provide weekly therapy to youth, families, and groups to address the needs of the client within the context of the individual's home and community.
  • Assist the client and the family with developing natural supports through the implementation of wraparound services and cooperation with case management staff.
  • Work effectively as a member of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT).
  • Complete and maintain all clinical and administrative records pertaining to clients in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Implement a strengths-based approach when working with adolescents and their families.
  • Deliver evidence-based treatment for a range of mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Provide conflict resolution and crisis intervention assistance to families and clients as needed.
  • Maintain all necessary credentials per agency and licensing requirements.
  • Attend treatment team meetings, case reviews, and problem-solving sessions as needed.
  • Consult with agency staff and collateral entities to ensure coordination of services for assigned clients.
  • Utilize outcomes to show therapeutic results.
  • Conduct screenings and intakes on new referrals when coverage needs arise.
  • Complete trauma-informed psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans with the full involvement of the client and the family.
  • Meet weekly with Clinical Director for supervision and to elicit feedback about performance and client cases.
  • Complete monthly billing in a timely manner as scheduled.
  • Ensure that client files remain current and include emergency contact information, releases of information, medication information, and other needed documentation.
  • Prepare discharge or closing summaries for all clients at case closing.
  • Attend staffings, IEP meetings, court hearings, or other community collaboration engagements as needed.
  • Attend trainings and workshops as required for professional development and/or mandated by contract.
  • Complete other duties, as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Must have a master's degree in counseling or social work from an accredited college or university.
  • Must possess current license—LCSW, LSW, LPC, PLPC.
  • Must be adaptable, flexible, and a strong leader with excellent interpersonal relationship, communication, change management, and administrative skills.
  • Must have an acceptable background check and no record of child abuse.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and insurance.
  • Must complete First Aid, CPR, and Medication Administration within 45 days of hire.
  • Preference given to candidates with the following experience:
  • At least one (1) year of experience providing individual and group therapy.
  • Experience with supportive housing, outreach services, and case management services.
  • Experience and knowledge of adolescent development, child welfare, trauma-informed clinical approaches, and working with highly vulnerable youth (homeless or at risk of homelessness, backgrounds of abuse/neglect).
Work Environment:

The Therapist position will require evening availability at least two (2) evenings per week until at least 7:00 pm to meet the scheduling needs and availability of our youth and their families. A minimum of weekend hours may be required depending upon program and community partnerships. This schedule will be revised as needed to meet the needs of our youth and their families.
