We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Methodist Hospital Westover Hills. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with our experienced surgical team to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the safe handling of instruments and equipment.
- Prepare and maintain the operating room, including setting up and cleaning equipment, and restocking supplies.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
- Monitor and maintain the sterile field, taking corrective action if necessary to prevent contamination.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; surgical technologist certification (CST or TS-C) preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a surgical setting, with a strong understanding of surgical procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
