About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver - Direct Support Professional to join our team at Broadstep, Inc. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness, and co-occurring disorders in their daily activities and community integration.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
  • Accompany individuals on outings and activities, promoting socialization and community engagement.
  • Remain vigilant and responsive to all situations, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
  • Utilize verbal and physical interventions to support behavioral needs.
  • Document behaviors, activities, and incidents to inform care planning.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support therapeutic and behavioral plans.
  • Deliver high-quality care that aligns with Broadstep's vision, mission, and values.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Pass a background check, drug screening, physical, and TB test.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Patience, excellent communication, and basic computer skills.
