Position Overview:

The Industrial Maintenance Specialist is tasked with ensuring the operational efficiency of machinery and production systems, alongside providing essential building maintenance support. This role is integral to advancing cost-effective practices, enhancing processes, and driving efficiency improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Conduct repairs and installations on all manufacturing equipment.
  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled.
  • Perform inspections on equipment to verify safe and effective operation.
  • Communicate repair needs and updates with production leadership.
  • Identify and report safety risks and quality issues to maintenance management.
  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as necessary for job functions.
  • Input data into maintenance and inventory management systems.
  • Adhere to all safety and quality protocols.
  • Carry out cleaning duties as required, including sweeping, washing, painting, and waste removal.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant mechanical repair experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Formal training in areas such as General Industrial Maintenance, Hydraulics, Electrical Systems, Compressors, or Pneumatics.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to devise a systematic approach to troubleshooting and repairing machinery.
  • Proficient in basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as the ability to compute rates and ratios.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to read and understand manuals, schematics, and safety data sheets.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach; able to work independently and manage time effectively under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate compliance documentation.
  • Experience operating a forklift is essential.
