Job Summary:

This position is part of Lockheed Martin's Rotary Mission Systems Cyber & Intelligence team, which is responsible for providing full lifecycle support for collection and antenna systems. As a Software Engineer Staff, you will work with a team of cybersecurity experts to protect the networks that our citizens and the world depend upon. You will analyze user requirements, debug existing software, design and code new software, and serve as a team lead. This position is participating in our External Referral Program and is eligible for a $25K sign on bonus for external hires.

Key Responsibilities:

* Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
* Debug existing software and correct defects. Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
* Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features, integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
* Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular project

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted.
* Seven (7) years of experience as a Software Engineer (SWE) in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Desired Skills:

* Experience with C++, Python 3.0+, GIT, CI/CD, Kubernetes (K8), Vuetify, Leaflet, ElasticSearch, REST, GRPC, and MongoDB.

Clearance Level:
TS/SCI w/Poly SP

Work Schedule:

This position is onsite full-time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. This position follows a 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $114,100 - $218,600. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Washington state applicants only: Non-represented full-time employees accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
