Dorman Products Lab Technician Job Summary

Dorman Products is seeking a skilled Lab Technician to join our Engineering Services team. As a Lab Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform product testing for new product development and quality investigations
  • Conduct hydrostatic, thermal, tensile, and electronics tests
  • Record data from testing in standard formats and provide results to product and engineering teams
  • Maintain a Lean/5S environment
  • Ability to problem solve and perform dimensional analysis using hand measurement tools
Requirements:
  • Familiarity with vehicle systems, including body and electronics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Physical ability to lift 40 pounds
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical school diploma or Associates degree in mechanical technology
  • 0-3 years' experience as a mechanical or test technician in a manufacturing or laboratory environment
