We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Fleet Operations to join our team at Hercules Materials Holdings LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the effective management of our fleet maintenance operations, ensuring the highest level of efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fleet Maintenance Management: Develop and implement effective maintenance processes and standards for all DOT qualified vehicles and trailers.
  • Equipment Breakdown Analysis: Identify and evaluate trends on significant equipment breakdowns and develop preventative maintenance programs for Mixer Trucks, Diesel Tractors, Gravel Trains, and Bulker Trailers.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee compliance in maintaining stock, including maintenance parts, supplies, and tire inventories.
  • Staff Management: Monitor hiring, training, and development of shop staff, and establish training programs for maintenance and enforce company standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Streamline maintenance practices company-wide and work hand-in-hand with leadership in operations to meet company objectives.
  • Safety and Compliance: Enforce and practice all company safety procedures to ensure a safe environment by following all D.O.T. and OSHA safety standards.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5-10 years of maintenance leadership experience managing multiple shops throughout various markets.
  • Education: A college degree in business management, operations management, diesel technology, mechanical engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Skills: Strong technical and communication skills, with a working mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, bulker trailers, gravel trains, and heavy equipment in satisfactory compliance with DOT laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of WINDOWS (basic applications), Microsoft Office Suite, and TransMan maintenance system, as well as Class 8 truck and trailer repair, and DOT regulations.
