Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team behind our custom compounds. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Safety First: Exhibit a safety-conscious approach to work, adhering to all workplace policies and procedures.
- Effective Communication: Be able and willing to effectively communicate, share information, resolve issues, and work with others.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively anticipate changes and respond to achieve organizational objectives, troubleshoot and maintain various mechanical machines and process equipment.
- Business Acumen: Understand and prioritize business needs, analyze and resolve technical problems throughout the site.
- Continuous Learning: Be willing to continuously learn new skills and new technologies, utilize computer software programs for work-related activities.
- Operational Excellence: Be able to operate a forklift, scissor lift, and complete precision work including welding, pipe fitting, rigging, and lubrication.
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED or equivalent is required; a 2-year technical/vocational degree in a related field is strongly preferred.
- A minimum of four (4) years relevant professional work experience is preferred, with millwright and/or precision mechanic experience being a plus.
- General knowledge of basic electrical gear, motors, and controls is desired.
- Able to read, write, and comprehend documents in English is required.
- Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds is required.
- Must be willing to work night shift, Monday - Thursday (10:00 pm to 8:00 am), with occasional Friday nights required.
