Healthcare Public Relations Specialist

At Daniel J Edelman Holdings, we're seeking a skilled Healthcare Public Relations Specialist to join our growing team. As a key member of our Health Sector team, you'll have the opportunity to develop and deploy innovative communications strategies that drive results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the creation of comprehensive communications plans and materials that meet client objectives
  • Manage multiple projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels
  • Produce high-quality internal and external communications content, often under tight deadlines
  • Coordinate client touchpoints, setting agendas and providing action-oriented recaps
  • Demonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including traditional and social media outreach plans
  • Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills, setting and pursuing stretch goals
  • Possess a solid understanding of the current healthcare landscape and topical issues
  • Supervise junior staff, motivating, coaching, and providing consistent feedback
  • Aid in new business development, including idea contribution, research, and proposal preparation
Requirements:
  • At least one year of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a solid grasp of basic public relations tools and skills
  • Ability to develop relationships with media and apply experience and initiative in developing traditional and digital media relations strategies
  • Interest/experience in Pharmaceutical PR

Salary: $42,000 - $62,000 a year. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
