Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is actively seeking Experienced Production Test Electrical Assemblers (Level B or Level C) to become part of the 787 Program in North Charleston, South Carolina on a Variable Shift.
In this role, you will conduct intricate assembly operations on structural components, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems, utilizing both manual and automated assembly tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional testing of aircraft electrical systems and components, along with troubleshooting and repairing aircraft systems.
- Evaluate and document test or analysis data to demonstrate compliance.
- Execute complex assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems using manual or automated tools.
- Identify production obstacles and constraints, escalating issues that cannot be resolved within the team through open and effective communication.
- Assist team members to enhance overall performance by providing cross-training and mentorship.
Work Environment:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work at one of the designated locations.
Export Control Compliance:
This position must adhere to export control compliance requirements. To meet these requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R is necessary. A "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
- 1+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing.
- 1+ years of experience in electrical assembly and/or electronic materials.
- 1+ years of experience in avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installations, and aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting.
- 1+ years of experience following detailed work instructions and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications in English.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 1+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with functional testing of aircraft electrical systems.
- Knowledge of functional testing of IFE systems.
- Experience in aircraft systems troubleshooting and fault repair.
- Familiarity with the 787 Program.
Typical Education/Experience:
Associate (Level B): Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate).
Experienced (Level C): Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate + 2 years of related work, Bachelor, etc.).
