Job Summary

As an Imaging Technologist - Diagnostic Radiology at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in performing medical imaging examinations under the direction of a physician. This position requires a strong understanding of patient care, medical records, and imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Access, manage, and update patient medical records through the Hospital Electronic Medical Record Information System.
  • Educate patients on imaging and safety procedures, explaining the biological effects of radiation and/or magnetic field protection and safety.
  • Position patients on imaging tables and utilize immobilization devices as needed for safety or to obtain optimum views of specified areas of the body.
  • Administer contrast media orally or intravenously according to Radiologist and/or Pharmacy guidelines.
  • Monitor patients during procedures through direct contact, two-way voice communication, or control room windows.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or diploma from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Current ARRT certification.
  • Current Montana State Licensure.
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
Work Environment

This position is located at St. James Hospital in Butte, Montana. The work environment is fast-paced and requires strong communication and teamwork skills.
