Job Summary

Bank Iowa Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Agricultural Loan Officer to join our team. As an Agricultural Loan Officer, you will be responsible for generating quality agricultural and commercial loans, building strong relationships with clients, and fostering business growth and client retention in the Southeast Iowa Region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an agricultural and commercial loan portfolio with a total outstanding balance of $25+ million and manage 25-50 client relationships.
  • Oversee agricultural and commercial lending activities, including loan origination, underwriting, and portfolio management.
  • Meet with clients to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process.
  • Develop relationships with various community and professional organizations to further enhance the bank's image and develop additional business or promote additional bank services.
  • Approve loans within specified limits and refer loan applications outside those limits to management for approval.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business, Finance, Economics, or related field with relevant work experience.
  • Strong agricultural background preferred.
  • Minimum of 7+ years lending and banking experience as an Agricultural & Commercial Loan Officer.
  • Ideal candidates will have leadership experience as well as banking experience, credit analysis or underwriting experience, and/or proven sales experience.
