Customer Service Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated Customer Service Associate to join our team at the Beaufort-Jasper Water & Sewer Authority.
Estimated salary: $35,000 - $45,000 per year
Job Description:
As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our customers via phone, email, and in-person interactions. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our customers receive prompt and professional assistance with their inquiries and concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Respond to customer calls, emails, and walk-ins in a timely and professional manner, providing accurate and helpful information to resolve issues and answer questions.
- Account Management: Manage customer accounts, including opening, closing, and updating records as needed.
- Payment Processing: Process payments from customers via various methods, including cash, credit card, and online payment systems.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, transactions, and correspondence.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business, communications) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, account management, or a related field.
- Skillset: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and CRM software.
