We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to contribute to the safety and efficiency of our fleet at First Student. As a Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability of our vehicles and the students we transport.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles, including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
- Conduct inspections and diagnose issues with our vehicles to ensure they are safe for road travel.
- Collaborate with our team to implement state-of-the-art training programs and stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments.
- Work closely with our drivers and other technicians to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service.
- 3 or more years of experience working with automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicles.
- A valid driver's license and a willingness to obtain a CDL (we will provide training for this).
- ASE certification or willingness to obtain it.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- A competitive hourly wage of $34 per hour (plus additional pay for ASE certifications).
