Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist PRN to join our team at Intermountain Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound examinations under the direction of a physician to identify abnormalities and aid in patient diagnosis.
  • Ensure proper patient identification, verify orders, and prepare patients for exams.
  • Use proper imaging techniques to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality diagnostic exams.
  • Demonstrate proficiency on all clinical equipment within the department.
  • Complete and annotate medically acceptable exams, following ACR guidelines, while producing maximum diagnostic information in minimal time.
  • Follow appropriate protocol for medical necessity, coding, and charging, obtaining consents if necessary, documenting events, and maintaining a current QC program for ACR.
  • Exhibit good safety practices in body substance protection, cleaning of equipment, using proper sterile techniques, and removing expired materials.
  • Thoroughly and accurately complete all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage.
Requirements
  • ARRT Registry or ARDMS Registry, including successful completion of one registry pertinent to the department beyond physics.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
  • Ultrasound experience preferred.
Work Environment

This position is located at Cedar City Hospital, with a scheduled weekly hour of 0. The hourly range for this position is $57.80, with actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
