Your expertise will guide sourcing, negotiations, logistics, and inventory management, ensuring our supply chain operates with maximum efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop the procurement team to achieve operational excellence.
  • Formulate and implement strategic sourcing plans for various commodities, focusing on cost reduction and risk management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Tier II and III suppliers through effective negotiation and collaboration.
  • Utilize ERP systems to ensure accurate master data that reflects the evolving supply chain landscape.
  • Work closely with Production and Sales teams to optimize inventory levels and guarantee timely delivery to customers.
  • Drive supplier development initiatives, establishing and monitoring quarterly improvement plans.
  • Implement comprehensive inventory control measures to improve material flow, layout, cost-effectiveness, and accuracy.
  • Oversee logistics operations, fostering continuous improvements in service and cost efficiency.
  • Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Generate proactive material consumption reports and take necessary actions to avert shortages.
  • Assist Engineering with tooling requests, specifications, and negotiations with suppliers and service providers.
  • Maintain clear communication with suppliers regarding forecasts and business conditions, translating their feedback into actionable steps.
  • Collaborate with Finance to identify excess or obsolete inventory and lead initiatives for its disposition.
  • Coordinate efforts to ensure inventory accuracy and enhance supplier count and labeling precision.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
  • Significant experience in discrete manufacturing is essential.
  • 5+ years of experience in commodity sourcing, purchasing, and contract negotiations, preferably in the automotive or heavy trucking sector.
  • 3+ years of experience in metal fabrication or injection molding.
  • Strong understanding of MRP systems and inventory planning/control.
  • Solid background in Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience in supplier development and management.
  • Working knowledge of business financials.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a high level of emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to demonstrate judgment, tact, and diplomacy in interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with an enthusiastic leadership style.
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiation, and change management processes.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001/TS16949 quality certifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently resolve issues.
  • Capability to create and present data for management review and decision-making.
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to see the 'big picture' and translate it into actionable goals.
