About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Ryder, a leading provider of transportation and logistics solutions. As a Diesel Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the health and efficiency of our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer tools
  • Replace defective components and perform facility maintenance duties
  • Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints and assign tasks
  • Utilize Shop Management System and electronic documentation to track work and maintain records
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Two years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in required experience
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
