Position Overview

The role of the Travel Nurse RN at Missouri Baptist Medical Center involves providing essential nursing care across various units, including medical, surgical, oncology, neuro, and cardiology. This position requires flexibility and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of the facility.

Certification Requirements
  • Mandatory Certifications: BCLS and ACLS; IV start and Telemetry skills are essential.
  • Preferred Certification: NIH Stroke Certification.
  • Floating Requirement: Yes, the clinician will float within their scope to meet facility demands.
  • RTO Restrictions: A maximum of 7 days of RTO is permitted per 13-week contract.
Job Details
  • Position: RN – MS/Tele Float.
  • Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
  • Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 during days and weekends; 1:6 for night shifts.
  • First-Time Travelers: Accepted.
  • Weekend Commitment: Every other weekend or a minimum of 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule, including holiday rotation.
  • Local Candidates: Not accepted; candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius.
  • Pending Licenses: Accepted.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks, with cancellations adhering to the regular shift length.
  • Special Equipment Training: Training provided for lift devices, ceiling lifts, and bladder scanners.
Job Requirements
  • Two years of experience in MS/Tele nursing is required.
  • Ability to float to various units as necessary.
Unit Specific Information

Nurses will be expected to provide care across multiple units, ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient health.
