Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting surgical interventions to correct ocular conditions, including cataract removal and corneal repairs.
  • Executing advanced surgical techniques, such as laser and minimally invasive procedures.
  • Diagnosing and managing a wide range of ocular diseases and injuries.
  • Overseeing emergency eye care clinics and specialized outpatient services.
  • Addressing medical conditions impacting vision with a holistic treatment approach.
  • Utilizing therapeutic techniques and performing necessary biopsies.
  • Providing routine eye examinations and prescribing corrective lenses.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree specializing in ophthalmology.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in ophthalmology.
  • Valid state medical license to practice ophthalmology.
  • In-depth knowledge of ocular anatomy, functions, and diseases.
  • Strong foundation in physics and mathematics, coupled with excellent medical expertise.
  • Effective administrative and leadership abilities.
  • Exceptional hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to undergo a background verification process.

Physical and Cognitive Requirements:

  • Ability to exert up to twenty-five pounds of force occasionally and perform repetitive motions.
  • Close visual acuity for tasks such as reading and interpreting data.
  • Capacity to remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining focus in a dynamic environment.
  • Comfortable interacting with diverse groups of individuals on a daily basis.
