Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

St. Joseph's Healthcare System is a leading healthcare organization recognized for its expertise and compassion. We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care to patients, stabilizing, preventing, or remedying respiratory problems. This will involve arranging and operating various oxygen and therapeutic gas equipment to safely administer prescribed doses of medical gases and aerosolized drugs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients, including administering oxygen and aerosolized drugs
  • Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and recording data
  • Draw, analyze, and report Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) to physicians and nurses
  • Participate in adult ventilator weaning protocol and MDI protocol
  • Embody excellence and relationship-based care in all interactions with patients and colleagues
Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a Graduate of an approved A.M.A. school for Respiratory Therapy, Certified Respiratory Therapist, and Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist by the New Jersey State Board of Respiratory Care. The candidate must possess strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain clinical, technical, and diagnostic procedures to patients and their families.
