Job Description

At eTek IT Services, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with a focus on Python and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software applications using Python and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, following industry best practices and standards.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Python and related technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our software applications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics, engineering, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in software development or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Python and related technologies, including Java EE, Spring MVC, and Hibernate.
  • Experience with web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with service technologies, including REST/SOAP Web Service and JMS.
  • Experience with relational databases, including MySQL and Oracle.
  • Experience with No-SQL databases, including DynamoDB.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, including Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience with caching technologies, including Redis Cache.
  • Experience with servers, including Tomcat and JBoss.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, including Junit and Maven.
  • Experience with SCM tools, including Git and Subversion.
  • Experience with monitoring tools, including Dynatrace and CloudWatch.
  • Experience with project management tools, including Jira and Rally.
  • Experience with operating systems, including Windows, Unix, and Linux.
  • Experience with IDEs, including Eclipse and Visual Studio Code.
  • Experience with testing tools, including Postman and SoapUI.
  • Experience with methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.

We are a hybrid company, with a 3-day on-site requirement in the DFW area. We are looking for someone who is able to work effectively in a remote environment and also be available to work on-site when needed.
