We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Marin Community Clinics. As a Triage Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert nursing care and triage services to patients via phone and in-person
- Assess and document patient questions or concerns, and provide nursing advice using evidence-based protocols
- Schedule follow-up appointments or refer patients to emergency services as needed
- Collaborate with patients' primary care teams to coordinate follow-up care
- Respond to patient requests for lab results, medical questions, and concerns regarding disease processes
- Send medication refills and order medications as per clinic protocol
- Assist in the development, maintenance, revision, and evaluation of triage workflows
- React positively to patient concerns, remain calm, and display empathy
- Work cooperatively with other staff and departments to problem-solve conflicts and improve workflow
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Participate in required meetings
- Associate or BA/BS degree in Nursing required
- Current California RN License in good standing
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- 3+ years of direct patient care experience required; community health and/or triage experience preferred
- Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Records preferred
- Bilingual in English/Spanish required
- Strong enthusiasm and willingness to pitch in whenever needed
- Works cohesively with other team members to achieve departmental goals
- Good history-taking skills
- Ability to make quick and accurate assessments
- Ability to write accurate and complete documentation
- Good organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication
- Strong critical-thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Functions well in a high-stress environment
- Works well independently
- Prolonged periods of typing and sitting at a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
- Hiring Bonus: $1,000.00
- Competitive salary range: $49.00 - $55.00 per year
