Academic Coach

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Education Specialist to join our team at Learned Success, Inc. dba Sylvan Learning Center. As an Education Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students in grades K-12 and post-secondary in reading, writing, math, study skills, SAT/ACT prep, and more.

• Develop and implement personalized learning plans using Sylvan's digitally based curriculum
• Supervise and motivate students while working on lessons that adapt to their individual skill level and pace
• Provide students with instant feedback and recognition
• Manage the conclusion of each instructional session and manage the completion of learning logs and transition activities
• Communicate specific student needs to Center staff
• Attend periodic staff meetings and complete ongoing training as needed
• Complete certification training on Sylvan programs, as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Education or equivalent experience, teaching certificate/credentials, or sophomores or higher currently enrolled in a four-year program as an education major
• General knowledge of office and computer skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and provide support, as needed, to ensure all students and families receive the highest level of customer service
