Retail Sales Associate

The Retail Sales Associate plays a crucial role in managing product inventory and ensuring the retail space is visually appealing and organized. This position involves delivering exceptional customer service and assisting patrons with their shopping needs, including processing transactions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities


• Welcome and assist customers while proactively addressing their needs

• Maintain optimal stock levels and arrange merchandise to enhance store presentation

• Operate the cash register, manage cash transactions, and process credit card payments

• Handle cash management duties, including safe checks and preparing bank deposits

• Exhibit a friendly and positive attitude towards customers, clients, and colleagues, adapting to various customer requirements

• Follow established cash handling protocols

• Safeguard company assets

• Perform additional tasks as directed by management

Qualifications


• Previous experience in customer service is advantageous

• Experience with cash handling is preferred

• Basic mathematical skills and ability to count accurately

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends

This position may involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged periods of walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
