We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team at Rehabilitation Hospital of Wisconsin. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs to patients with various conditions, including stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.
Key Responsibilities- Assume responsibility and accountability for the care of patients being treated by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy techs.
- Assess patients' needs and identify and initiate appropriate physical therapy interventions.
- Work cooperatively with other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional physical therapy practice and interdisciplinary teamwork.
- Observe and evaluate treatment affect, accomplishment of short and long term goals, and recommend change to physician, if needed.
- Perform an appropriate assessment on each patient and perform reassessments, as per policy.
- Able to assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function of participation in rehabilitation and make appropriate interventions to reduce pain.
- Formulate and update patient-specific plan of care for physical therapy.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state where the hospital is located.
- Inpatient rehab experience preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR Card.
