This is a skilled position in the field of Dentistry, requiring knowledge of dental office procedures and the ability to work effectively with dentists, colleagues, patients, and the public.
Key Responsibilities- Perform radiographs appropriately according to the State Board of Dental Examiners
- Develop and sterilize dental instruments, following proper infection control protocols
- Set up dental trays and assist in preventative dentistry by promoting oral hygiene
- Chart patient information on the CFHC Dental Chart
- Assist the receptionist with making appointments and answering phone calls
- Treat patients with respect and aid them with dental problems that do not require a dentist's expertise
- Accurately complete health histories and maintain operative equipment
- Prepare purchase requisitions and maintain sterile processes and documentation logs
- Graduation from an accredited high school or G.E.D. certificate
- Experience in a dental office practice or an equivalent setting
- Demonstrated ability to perform position duties
- State of Mississippi radiograph permit
This position requires the ability to work independently and without direct supervision, as well as the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
