Job Summary

This is a skilled position in the field of Dentistry, requiring knowledge of dental office procedures and the ability to work effectively with dentists, colleagues, patients, and the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographs appropriately according to the State Board of Dental Examiners
  • Develop and sterilize dental instruments, following proper infection control protocols
  • Set up dental trays and assist in preventative dentistry by promoting oral hygiene
  • Chart patient information on the CFHC Dental Chart
  • Assist the receptionist with making appointments and answering phone calls
  • Treat patients with respect and aid them with dental problems that do not require a dentist's expertise
  • Accurately complete health histories and maintain operative equipment
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and maintain sterile processes and documentation logs
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited high school or G.E.D. certificate
  • Experience in a dental office practice or an equivalent setting
  • Demonstrated ability to perform position duties
  • State of Mississippi radiograph permit

This position requires the ability to work independently and without direct supervision, as well as the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
