Job Summary

The IT Senior Security Threat Analyst (Threat Hunter) plays a critical role in protecting our organization's digital assets from sophisticated threats. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and strategic thinking to identify and mitigate potential security risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement advanced correlation rules to detect malicious activity with high accuracy and low false positive rates.
  • Conduct in-depth threat hunting and analysis to identify gaps in our security posture and recommend meaningful improvements.
  • Collaborate with the team to create and maintain threat intelligence, including sorting, curating, and documenting incoming intelligence.
  • Act as a mentor to junior analysts, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and expertise.
  • Work closely with management to identify opportunities for process improvement and develop strategies to enhance our security capabilities.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in threat hunting and analysis.
  • Advanced knowledge of threat hunting theories and activities.
  • Ability to identify and categorize malicious activity attributed to human threat actors.
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to mentor junior team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical and strategic certifications or courses specific to penetration testing or threat hunting.
  • Experience with detection engineering, malware analysis, and APT/Crimeware ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and ability to apply it in a real-world context.
