Physician Administrator 2 SOCF

We are seeking a board-eligible or board-certified physician in psychiatry to join our team at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility (SOCF). As a member of our comprehensive multi-disciplinary treatment team, you will provide clinical support to a caseload of male patients, working collaboratively with a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Administer treatment for behavioral health patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting in an electronic health record system
- Conduct exams, write evaluations and reports, and order and interpret diagnostic testing
- Manage medication and make referrals for specialized care or treatment
- Perform duties in accordance with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures, protocols, and related American Correctional Association standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews
- Provide or share responsibilities of institutional 24-hour on-call as needed

QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you must hold a certificate to practice medicine in the state of Ohio as issued by the State Medical Board pursuant to Section & of the Revised Code. You should also possess strong behavioral health, corrections - mental health, medical charting, medication management, mental health, decision-making, listening, teamwork, time management, and written communication skills.
