ICAN Partial Work Program

Position Summary:

The Client Program Supervisor is a pivotal leadership role requiring a proactive and seasoned individual who embodies innovation, organization, attention to detail, adaptability, and reliability. This position is responsible for guiding a regional center vendored, community-oriented day program aimed at supporting adults with developmental disabilities. The Client Program Supervisor plays a crucial role in promoting client autonomy and ensuring that all program elements are executed in accordance with established guidelines and state regulations.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM; typically aligned with the Partial Community Program schedule.

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum age of 21 years

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field, accompanied by at least one year of experience in managing a human services delivery system, or
  • Three years of experience in a human services setting, including at least one year in a supervisory role and two years of experience or training in relevant care and supervision.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong leadership and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Fiscal responsibility and budget management capabilities
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Mac Products, Excel, Word, Google Docs, and Dropbox
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish or ASL are preferred
  • Good judgment and decision-making abilities

Certifications and Additional Requirements:

  • CPR and First Aid certification required within the first month of employment
  • Successful completion of health screenings and background checks
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required

Physical Requirements:

  • Dexterity to operate standard office equipment
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Capacity to lift and assist clients as needed

Professional Development:

The Client Program Supervisor is expected to engage in ongoing professional development, completing a minimum of 30 hours of training every two years to stay current with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing program attendance to maintain compliance with staffing ratios
  • Ensuring client health and safety through the development of standards and training
  • Conducting field observations and assisting clients in achieving their personal goals
  • Managing documentation and data compilation for program compliance
  • Facilitating client intake processes and maintaining accurate records
