About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a Software Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of software systems by applying fundamental software engineering principles and practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test software systems.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software systems meet requirements.
  • Identify and report defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Participate in Agile software development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and tools to support software testing.
  • Work with development teams to design, develop, and implement software solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand software requirements and develop test plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) discipline.
  • 0-2 years of experience in software development and testing.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and Java.
  • Experience with software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • DoD Top Secret clearance at time of application.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in a STEM discipline.
  • Experience with cloud and container technologies.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Experience with security testing and vulnerability assessment.
  • Active, current Security+ certification.
