Position Overview

The Marketing Intern at AEG will support the General Manager and Box Office Manager in promotional initiatives aimed at enhancing the visibility of the venue and its events. This role will also involve assisting with event execution and promotional activities.

Compensation
This internship offers an hourly wage ranging from $32.00 to $33.00.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct marketing research through phone calls, emails, and online searches.
  • Manage social media tasks in collaboration with the Box Office Manager to develop a media calendar.
  • Monitor competitive venues to analyze their events and promotional strategies.
  • Perform demographic and psychographic analysis for various events and projects.
  • Attend meetings with potential partners to learn about executing marketing strategies with third-party collaborations.
  • Assist in grassroots marketing efforts, including the creation and distribution of promotional materials and establishing relationships with local retailers.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of marketing plans and promotional strategies for events.
  • Gain experience in email management, website oversight, and venue reporting.
  • Support various event-day activities within the Marketing Department, including in-game promotions, gathering consumer feedback, and enhancing customer service.
  • Assist in planning and organizing sales and service initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Familiarity with fundamental marketing and public relations principles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Self-motivated and capable of thriving in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must be a graduate student.
  • Preferred fields of study include Sport Management, Marketing, Communications, Management, or Hospitality.
  • Availability to commit to 10 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat Reader is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, including TikTok.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
