About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Anodizing Apprentice to join our team at Vegas Metal Finishing LLC. As an Anodizing Apprentice, you will be trained in the technical process of anodizing, a surface treatment technique that enhances the durability, appearance, and corrosion resistance of metal parts.

This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with experienced anodizing technicians to learn the process of preparing, anodizing, and finishing metal components. The apprenticeship is designed to develop your skills and knowledge in the anodizing process while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing metal parts for the anodizing process, including cleaning, blasting, and racking.
  • Learn and perform the anodizing process under the supervision of experienced technicians.
  • Monitor and maintain anodizing equipment, such as tanks, pumps, and rectifiers.
  • Follow established procedures for various types of anodizing, including sulfuric acid, and hard-coat anodizing.
  • Measure and record data such as coating thickness, solution temperatures, and electrical currents during the anodizing process.
  • Assist in post-anodizing processes such as dyeing, sealing, and quality inspection.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety and environmental protocols.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure timely completion of customer orders.
  • Learn how to troubleshoot issues in the anodizing process and recommend solutions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to optimize the anodizing process.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Interest in metal finishing, electrochemical processes, or manufacturing.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technologies related to anodizing.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift and handle materials and parts (up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 based on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
