Job Summary:The Part-Time Family Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care within their scope of practice in the clinical setting. This includes administering ordered therapies, completing admission processes, performing physical assessments, documenting patient data, and communicating effectively with other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer ordered therapies according to prescriber orders, facility protocols, and company policies.
- Complete admission processes as directed by the Center Director.
- Perform physical assessments on patients as warranted and for new consults.
- Document all pertinent data in the patient's medical record.
- Communicate effectively with other members of the IV team on patient status and observations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Evaluate patient responses to therapy and document findings.
- Educate patients and/or family members regarding therapy plans.
- Participate in the Quality Improvement program.
- Ensure all medication orders are complete, accurate, and up-to-date prior to treatment.
- Participate in the On-Call program, which may include after-hours, weekend, and holiday calls and visitations.
- Requires an MS in Nursing and a minimum of 2 years of related experience with clinical emphasis for nurse practitioners.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with IVs required.
- Current, active, valid, and unrestricted NP license to practice as a healthcare professional within the scope of license in applicable states.
- Active, current, and valid Family Nurse Practitioner Certification.
- Multi-state licensure required if providing services in multiple states.
- Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test and Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver.
- Minimum of 1 year healthcare experience with IVs strongly preferred.
- May require extensive travel to worksite and other locations as necessary.
