Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at Ascension Illinois. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic sleep studies, preparing patients and equipment for testing, and interpreting results.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct diagnostic sleep studies to identify sleep disorders
  • Prepare patients and equipment for testing, ensuring accurate and reliable results
  • Interview patients to determine sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures
  • Monitor patients throughout testing and intervene as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues
  • Analyze and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs
  • Score, interpret, and report results of sleep studies
  • Prepare, calibrate, repair, and maintain equipment required for testing
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date
  • One or more of the following certifications: Cert Polysomnographic Tech, Reg Polysomnographic Tchnlgst, Respiratory Care Practitioner, Respiratory Therapist, or Sleep Technician
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree
