Job Overview

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a high level of dedication and commitment. As a Residential Counselor, you will be responsible for providing direct care and support to children aged 7-19 in a group home setting.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to work with children who may exhibit challenging behaviors, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and nurturing environment, and supporting the children in their daily lives.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year

Responsibilities
  • Maintain constant alertness and supervision of consumers at all times.
  • Implement established needs and services plan as defined by the consumer treatment team.
  • Assist the child in developing and reaching goals.
  • Manage the activities of the consumers under your care.
  • Participate with consumers in general housekeeping of residence.
  • Provide transportation for the consumer to and from activities.
Requirements
  • A High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) is required.
  • Ability to pass background check, physical, TB test, and drug screen.
  • Reliable transportation and valid drivers license.
