Primary Care Physician

We have a full-time physician opportunity in our Direct Care Clinic, a same-day/next-day access clinic for patients with acute non-life-threatening needs. Located inside of our Whittier Clinic in Minneapolis, this facility operates Monday - Friday during the day.
As a Direct Care provider, you will have a range of responsibilities including providing immediate medical care for patients with non-life-threatening conditions, assessing and diagnosing/treating various acute illnesses and injuries, conducting physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and performing minor procedures like suturing or splinting.
Key Responsibilities- Providing immediate medical care for patients with non-life-threatening conditions and referring/transferring appropriately
- Assessing and diagnosing/treating a wide variety of acute illnesses and injuries, such as infections, fractures, and minor burns
- Conducting physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and performing minor procedures like suturing or splinting
- Making appropriate determinations of patients requiring transfer to a higher level of acute care and stabilizing such patients while awaiting transfer
- Managing patient flow efficiently, ensuring accurate documentation, and providing guidance on follow-up care or referrals to specialists when necessary
