Job Title: Transportation Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Transportation Senior Project Manager to lead and manage large-scale transportation infrastructure Design/Build projects for strategic clients from the bid phase to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and deliver design on complex alternative delivery projects, including Design-Build and Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects.
  • Maintain diverse relationships with contractors, owner representatives, and project stakeholders.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate multi-discipline staff in a high-intensity environment.
  • Work with project controls and scheduling staff to manage projects, analyze Earned Value and Schedule performance, and ensure goals are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters.
  • Ensure overall quality and coordination of work performed, client interface, staff utilization, reputation, and reflection of the team and Jacobs.
  • Establish work plans and multi-disciplinary staffing for each project phase and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
  • Provide training to staff-level engineers.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project engineers, engineers, and technicians to ensure project progress on schedule and within budget.
  • Represent Jacobs' alternative delivery capabilities in assigned locations, markets, and at industry associations.
  • Develop, review, and obtain confirmation of financial and project delivery schedule activities of design and construction as they relate to all disciplines involved.
  • Assure that project teams comply with contract agreements and exercise rigid cost control to implement approved designs within established budget restraints.
  • Lead, interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate project assignments and manage projects that are larger in scope and complexity.
  • Work within other subgroups and interact with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, other consultants, and professional organizations.
  • Attend meetings, make presentations, and respond to questions as required.
  • Work closely with other staff in other departments that may not be within the same office.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Substantial years of expertise in complex, multi-discipline highway project design management, including one or more Design-Build and/or PPP projects as Design Manager.
  • Alternative delivery transportation infrastructure projects experience with a construction value in excess of $200M.
  • Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer (P.E.) in Florida or the ability to obtain within 6 months is required.
  • Travel likely required depending on location of hire.
  • Design-build experience in Florida.
Preferred Expertise:
  • Master's degree in related engineering or applicable discipline.
  • Professional engineering license.
  • PMP or equivalent, and/or PgMP or equivalent preferred.
