Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the peri-operative setting, working closely with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure seamless care transitions. This role requires strong communication and leadership skills, with a focus on maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Coordinate patient care with the surgical team, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Supervise and guide OR technicians and other personnel, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services to enhance patient care and unit operations.
  • Ensure adherence to regulations, standards, and hospital policies, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
Requirements:
  • Current and valid state RN license.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of one year previous perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
  • Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) certification (AORN) preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Work Schedule:

This is a 5-day per week position, with mandatory call one day per week and one weekend per month.
